Don’t use Google Public DNS in Germany

You shouldn’t use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your nameservers in Germany (or Europe), it will slow down your connection and needlessly redirect your requests. When using Google Public DNS, many of the large Content Delivery Networks (CDN) will think you are located in the US and will offer you servers that are located there.

UPDATE
Google now has servers in Berlin and Frankfurt and other locations in the EU, so you’re probably safe using Google DNS in Germany or the EU.
